IV Seasons Skin Care offers several excellent product lines. Each contains medical/professional grade formulations targeted for specific skin care needs. The patients skin type, goals, and how aggressive the individual wants to be in achieving those goals, determines the recommended skin care program and products. Each patient’s individual skin care program is modified as needed according to changes in the skin, time of year, travel obligations, and possible surgical procedures.
We at IV Seasons Skin Care are committed to offering our patients the most beneficial treatment options utilizing the best skin care products and procedures available. They have been researched and tested for maximum efficacy. In addition, prescription drugs may be included in the skin regimen. Retin-A, Renova, topical antioxidants, topical antibiotics, and skin bleaching agents such as hydroquinone, are just a few examples of the powerful topical agents that can stimulate skin to reach its optimum potential.

BioMedic products and treatments are the foundation of our skin care practice. They are effective and well tolerated by the majority of patients. Contained within the BioMedic product line there is a unique ability to customize treatment plans as well as to integrate other specialty products and treatments.

The Glytone product line is our most concise and easily followed protocol. It is perfect for patients who want only a few steps in their home care program. The glycolic acid in this line is microencapsulated for slower delivery of the active ingredients into the skin. Sunscreen is also “built-in” to most products.

OBAGI

Obagi/Nuderm products and procedures are designed to target significant sun damage and skin pigment problems. When used in conjunction with Retin-A and aggressive preconditioning, we have seen dramatic improvement in uneven skin tones and texture using the Obagi “blue peel.”

LA ROCHE-POSAY

La Roche-Posay is our preferred topical Vitamin C therapy, which is an excellent addition in the treatment of sun-damaged skin. Vitamin C is essential for collagen formation in the dermis, and also regenerates Vitamin E, another necessary antioxident, providing a “reservoir effect” of protection from UVA and UVB radiation. Therefore, lessening future sun damage potential. This active and stable form of Vitamin C is available in the product Active C, for face and eyes.

Dr. Perricone’s line of Alpha Lipoic acid based products offers cutting edge treatment in the field of topical antioxidant skin therapy. Alpha Lipoic acid is described as a universal antioxidant that is 100-400 times more potent than other available antioxidants. It has the ability to pursue and destroy free radicals, with which the skin is constantly exposed. Alpha Lipoic acid is also a powerful anti-inflammatory agent, giving a smooth texture to ruddy skin, and has also been known to lessen the appearance of fine lines in as little as two weeks.

SUNBLOCKS

The importance of sunblock is undisputed to prevent aging of the skin. Heredity factors, ethnicity, and normal wear and tear of the body are responsible for 10% of aging. The remaining 90% are due to environmental influences, sun exposure being the largest factor! The good news is that premature aging of the skin, due to the sun, can be prevented by avoiding sun exposure and adequately protecting with sunblocks. When choosing a sunblock look for the words “broad” or “full spectrum” sunblock, as opposed to sunscreen, and UVA/UVB protection.

TI-SILC SUNBLOCK
Ti-Silc, by Procyte, is a micronized titanium dioxide and silicone based waterproof, SPF 45 sunblock. If has a luxurious feel on the skin and is ideal for exercising, vacationing, and post-procedure.

Z-SILC SUNBLOCK
Z-Silc, by Procyte, is an excellent choice for a lighter, water-based, moisturizing sunblock with a SPF 30. It contains the best known block against the suns UVA/UVB rays, zinc oxide.
